Our first spotlight definitely goes to the Hollywood Hair Salon, Barber Dollz. They certainly do things different out in California. That includes getting a hair cut. This shop, targeted mostly at men, takes getting a trim to a whole other level. Barber Dollz offers much more than just hair cuts. In fact, hair cuts are just the start…

“Each haircut comes with a complementary shampoo and head massage, did I mention sexy women in even sexier outfits!”

Salons and barbershops have long survived on giving quality hair cuts, but recently we have seen a trend to more atmosphere oriented Salons. Seems a good old trim and shave isn’t enough sometimes. Barber Dollz is a prime example of this. Probably the last thing you will be talking about when you leave there is your Hair cut.

“Come in and get your hair cut and styled while enjoying our relaxing atmosphere, as if the visual stimulation isn’t enough we have 3 flat screens so you can watch sports, movies, news or play video games (PS3 and WII). Lounge around in our wrap around reclinable couch or sit at the bar top and watch your favorite sports team.”

Now that sounds like a place to hang out on a Friday night, let alone get a fresh cut. Barber Dollz promotes the ‘experience’ of getting your hair cut by glamorizing the whole process. No normal conversations and mild ambience are allowed. They even sell pictures with the ‘Dollz’, as long as your wife doesn’t find out! While this is not exactly a family atmosphere, the shop has found quite a home in the hills of Hollywood. The slogan says it all…
